In Jonah Steinberg’s Terrains/Terroirs, sights, sounds, smells, and even flavors evoking the sea, the maquis, the calanques, and the maritime forest, along with some of their human denizens and crafts, both ancient and modern, are integrated into a constellation of biome- and plant-based art. Works by Marseille-based sculptor-photographer Célia Pernot, whose work has been displayed widely, including at the Musée Internationale de la Parfumerie in Grasse will be presented alongside Montpellier-based artist Ursula Caruel, creator of Future is Botanic, Botanica Via, Semences, and other projects, who uses seeds, bark, branches, roots, and leaves to craft provocative works from the botanical world. 

Jessica Hodin Lévy will present Romain Sarrot, a Paris-based visual artist and videographer whose work explores the reinterpretation of everyday objects. Since 2010, he has created multimedia pieces using materials such as resin, mastic, paper, plastic, and silicone. His practice focuses on subverting familiar forms and reframing them in new, often unexpected, contexts.

Caroline Pelletti Victor presents La Chambre 22 with L’Objet Collaboré (Lifestyle/Deathstyle), the association Réseau Le Bunker, and 45 artists, designers, and craftspeople. La Chambre 22 is a distillation of everything Caroline Pelletti Victor and her husband Jean-Christophe Victor stand for in Marseille, through their shared living and creative space, Le Bunker des Calanques: environmental and human rights advocacy, and the celebration of creativity rooted in the Mediterranean.

Pelletti Victor is also opening a pop-up boutique, L’Objet Collaboré, on the ground floor of Les Bords de Mer for the duration of the fair. There, she showcases a curated selection of objects born from the collaborative creative processes she has led over the past three years, and also welcomes several special guests.

Exclusively for the fair, she is launching la mer, a collection of decorative and ready-to-wear pieces. A total of 46 artists, designers, and craftspeople are involved. Among them, eleven creators contributed to the design of Ligne d’écume, the table setting for the fair’s opening dinner. A sample of this ensemble will be recreated in the boutique, where the unique objects made for the occasion will also be available for purchase.

Peacock Art Projects, curated by Trickie Lopa, a pivotal figure in the Philippine art and fashion scenes, known for her roles as co-founder of Art Fair Philippines and Art in the Park, and more recently, as Deputy Editor of Vogue Philippines, highlights Southeast Asian voices including Melvin Guirheim, known for richly layered paintings and sculptures blending folklore, faith, and personal narrative, and Neil Felipp, a Cebu-based designer celebrated for his handcrafted accessories inspired by myth, fantasy, and historical storytelling. Lopa’s work bridges local creativity and global platforms, making her an ideal partner for 74th Arts's next stop in the Philippines in 2026. 

Coco Dolle, a French-American artist, curator, and writer based between New York and Avignon showcases an environmentally engaged program bridging land and sea with works by painter Pierre-Marie Brisson (Aigues-Mortes), that include paintings on linen, bronze sculptures inspired by ancient relics, and an ephemeral installation of mobiles crafted from cut wallpaper and fishing line, evoking marine life and classical botanical motifs.

Karima Célestin, an art enthusiast and cultural entrepreneur who has founded and run contemporary art galleries in Paris and Marseille, presents Rivages, a specially curated video program for la mer that reflects on the Mediterranean as more than just a landscape—rather a memory, boundary, and origin. Bringing together international artists, the program explores themes of migration, exile, voyage, and hybrid identity. Through poetic and political lenses, the video works reimagine the sea as a space of resistance, cultural intersection, and shared humanity. 

Charlotte Lidon, an independent curator known for her cross-disciplinary and socially engaged projects that explore the intersections of contemporary art, ecology, and identity, brings together in Liquid Topographies the works of Marseille-based artist Zineb Mezzour. Mezzour’s work engages with themes of transformation, memory, and the poetic tension between nature and constructed environments.

Designed to immerse guests in the art, culture, cuisine and rugged beauty of Marseille, la mer also invites visitors to join a robust and exploratory program of private and public events and excursions throughout the city.  Highlights include a private brunch on the Île du Frioul hosted by Béatrice Soulié and Hoffman, and an opening sunset dinner at Bunker des Calanques with Chef Hugues Mbenda of Restaurant Kin.
